Our mission
We help everyday makers develop confident textile skills through focused instruction, honest materials guidance, and projects that belong in real wardrobes.
About the atelier
Rightstep Atelier began when textile artist Mara Ellis noticed that many people wanted to paint clothing but felt unsure where to begin. The studio was created to make the first steps clear, welcoming, and genuinely useful.
We help everyday makers develop confident textile skills through focused instruction, honest materials guidance, and projects that belong in real wardrobes.
We teach techniques rather than trends, welcome different starting points, and explain care and limitations so learners can make informed creative choices.
